The Department of Geology at Kent State University offers a variety of academic programs for students with any level of interest in Geology. These program include the Bachelor of Science in Geology, the Bachelor of Arts in Geology, the Bachelor of Arts in Earth Science, and the Minor in Geology. Our faculty believe in hands on learning and offer numerous opportunities for undergraduate research in Geology and Earth Science. Students enrolled in our programs have the opportunity to travel to study geology in the field in Ohio and at various sites around the world linked to faculty research projects. Graduates of either of the Bachelor of Arts programs may also use their degrees as the basis for advanced study in geology. For students with the B.A. degree who wish to become professional geologists, specific background courses will be required prior to completion of their advanced degrees.

Honors College Opportunities
Undergraduates with a GPA of 3.25 or greater after one semester of college work are eligible to apply to the Honors College! Kent State has one of the largest and oldest Honors Colleges in the nation. The links below provide more information about this great opportunity.
