Professor Jameson, former department chair (1997-2007), continues as public history coordinator. He teaches courses in public history, recent U.S. history, and the historian's craft. His research agenda focuses on environmental history with two works in progress: 1.) efforts to establish an international park on the Rio Grande; and 2.) David vs. Goliath: The Relocation Controversy at North Bonneville on the Columbia River. Finally, under the scholarship of teaching, he is exploring how best to encourage student-centered learning in the classroom.
