Are you interested in helping out your alma mater, source of commissioning, and source of life-long friends?  As a member of the Detachment 630 family, you are always welcome to lend your helping hand -- and we would appreciate it greatly.  If you are wondering what you can do to help out some young aspiring cadets, below is a list of some actions you can take to contribute.  For more information, e-mail det630@kent.edu.

• Are you interested in being a guest speaker?  Our cadets can learn a lot from hearing about your career.  You could be very influential to a number of young cadets.  Do you love your career in the Air Force and want to let the cadets know about it?  If you are going to be in the area, just give us a little advanced notice and we can schedule you as a guest speaker!
  
  

• Do you have any old flight suits that you grew out of or that are slightly worn out?  Instead of letting them go to waste, send them to us!  The current regulation on the procurement of flight suits is as follows:  Our Detachment cannot provide the cadets with flight suits (even if they are going to be a Pilot/Nav!), however, the cadets can wear the flight suits if they are procured on their own.  Help out our Pilot/Nav candidates -- donate your used flight suits!
  
  

• Is your active duty squadron interested in adopting a squadron here at Detachment 630?  You can have a squadron here named after your active duty flight / squadron / group / wing, etc.  The cadets here will make a squadron shield and send it to you as a showing of their appreciation.  All you have to do is contact us and let us use your organization's name / number.  There are no requirements for funds or anything!  Extra things that you may want to do for the cadets, however, are up to you.  Some examples could include providing the cadet squadron with your organization's scarves / patches / T-shirts, etc.  Your contributions would be very much appreciated!  Who knows -- it may influence a cadet to want to be stationed at your base when he / she goes on active duty.
