Bio

Navjotika Kumar received her Ph.D. from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She has Masters Degrees in Art History from Cornell and the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. Her area of specialization is Modern and Contemporary Art. She began teaching in this area at Kent State in 2007. Along with a survey course, she teaches a variety of special topic courses in this area and also the History of Photography. Her particular research interest is in Land and Ecological art. She has published on the work of Richard Misrach among others.
