Statement

The recent works are serigraphs derived from photographs taken at zoos and agricultural fairs. These images, often containing animals and humans in artificial environments, attempt to make visible a tenuous and fragile stewardship of the natural world. Through the use of amplified color and computer separated CMYK printing, I work to reveal aspects of sublimation and domination inherent in these relationships.
