Statement;

"Much of my inspiration comes out of the great , majestic, natural creations of the west. I am captivated by the natural solid elements of this earth. Though this is an age of industry, technology, and space, this western landscape is my metaphor of the human spirit. It speaks to me of the mystery of this universe and of my existence. Where this earth comes from and how we humans evolve constantly touches me with new boundaries of thought and emotion. No matter what man creates, the smallest shattered rock 200 million years old presents more color, form, shape, than I could ever imagine."

"Robert Wick derives his somewhat primitive forms from Cubist-futurists precedents in sculpture. Unusual textures and complicated movements combine to produce such witty and evocative pieces as ‘Head of Horns’ and model for a monumental chair." Arts Magazine

"Robert Wick’s monumenta sculptures have curves and a softness about them that often belies their bronze metal origin. A fluting motif is found in all of these intensely interesting works and this too reveals the sculptor’s concern with variations within the medium" New York Magazine
