Artist’s statement:
"My sculpture is representational with various themes: people, animals, furniture, disasters, bugs and lizards and some miscellaneous that fit no category. Whatever the subject, there is a larger commonality uniting a lifetime of work. We live on a planet bursting with life and energy and I want my sculpture to reflect this vitality and to be as lively as possible. My animals, people and objects are portrayed doing things, often at their own peril. Furniture comes alive and stretches and wiggles. Volcanoes erupt. Crocodiles emerge out of pies. While there is whimsy to many of the sculptures, look for a darker side of nature in collision with technology, most openly portrayed in vehicle-wildlife disasters."
