Qualified students may enroll in both courses for spring semester and earn up to 6 credits with the 12-day trip to China over spring break plus several required preparatory and follow-up class meetings. No additional tuition if your spring enrollment does not exceed 18 credits.

*Cost: US $995+, includes double- to triple-occupancy lodging, tour activities, ground transportation, meals, and travel expenses in China but excludes course fees and airfare. Airfare estimated (without tax): US $910 - $1450 (depending on when the ticket is purchased).

Travel to London and Paris by enrolling for  Spring Semester in ARTH 42192 (undergraduate) or 52192 (graduate) to earn 3 credits!

Come learn about opportunities to study in Florence this summer!  Informational meetings to be held on Monday, 30 January, Thursday, 2 February. and Wednesday, 8 February, all from 5-6:30p in 206 Art Building.

Professor Gus Medicus, who conducts each summer's art history tour to Florence and surrounding sites of interest will introduce you to this year's opportunities. You may earn up to 6 credits in art history and Italian culture on this trip.  Deadline for applying will be around mid-March (details forthcoming).

Come to the meeting to learn all about it, or contact Dr. Medicus  in the School of Art or Sandy Baker at International Programs for further information.

Kent State University has its own remodelled medieval palazzo near the Piazza della Signoria in Florence for its KSU Florence programs. Enrolling for the summer course includes field trips to Rome and other cities in Tuscany to enhance the understanding of historical and contemporary Italian culture and peoples.  Dr. Medicus has conducted on-site courses in Florence since 2003.  

In addition, since the Fall 2008 semester, all art majors have the opportunity to enroll for a full semester's study in Florence and continue to progress in their foundation coursework. For further information on Study Abroad options...
