David Hooker (MFA ceramics), Assistant Professosr at Wheaton College, travelled to Indonesia in the summer of 2008 to participate in the conference "Christianity and the Visual Arts in Indonesia."   more >

Candy Depew (BFA -Ceramics) recently completed a commission, "vines made of hearts blooming crystals” with the Pew Fellowships in the Arts for the entrance of the Philadelphia Center for Arts and Heritage. more >

 

Sarah Sutton (MFA painting, 2006) was awarded a residency at the Millay Colony for summer, 2007.  more >

Donald Henson (MFA sculpture, 2006) received a postdoctoral research fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which began July, 2007. more >

Lily Liu (MFA textile arts) exhibited two necklaces in the spring Wearable Expressions 2008 (22 Feb., - 20 Apr.) at the Palos Verdes Art Center, 5504 West Crestridge Rd, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.  more >

FlashForward, "some of the best work being done by newly-emerging artists in Northeast Ohio," recently concluded at Spaces Gallery and included work by KSU MFA graduates Ann Hanrahan, Glenn Ratusnik, and Lorri Ott and MA (Liberal Studies) graduate Jennifer Schulman.  The exhibition was curated by Gretchen Goss, Quian Li, Stephen Litchfield, and Laila Voss, the latter two adjunct faculty at KSU.
