Cary started her career as an athletic
training student at Indiana University located in Bloomington, Indiana
where she received my BS in Kinesiology with a concentration in
Athletic Training. Upon graduation she took a graduate
assistant position with the University of Oklahoma where she completed
coursework towards a Masters of Science in Health Promotions.
After a year with the Sooners Cary decided to return to Indiana
University to complete my MS in Athletic Training. She took
my first job as a certified athletic trainer at Cumberland University
located in Lebanon, Tennessee. Cary spent three years working
in a split position as assistant athletic trainer and instructor
with the athletic training program. After three years in Tennessee,
she accepted a similar position with Wilmington College, located
in Wilmington, Ohio. Her primary responsibilities included
athletic health care and athletic training clinical education supervision.
During her time at Wilmington she focused my attention towards the
CAAHEP accreditation process and curricular development.
In the fall of 2000 Cary once again, accepted a position at Kent
State University where she holds a split position between athletics
and academics. Cary’s primary responsibilities
include supervision of on and off campus clinical education experiences
for our athletic training students and women's field hockey.
