Long is welcomed to the Kent State staff after working with
University Suburban Sports Medicine where she was responsible
for 24 varsity sports as the Head Athletic Trainer for Cleveland
Heights High School. Prior to her most recent position she was
an assistant athletic trainer for two seasons at Louisiana State
University while earning a Master’s of Science in Kinesiology.
During her time in Baton Rouge, Long worked with the Tigers
football program, as well as the men’s and women’s
track & field/cross country programs.
A member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association,
the Greenville, South Carolina, product received her Bachelor’s
degree from the University of South Carolina in 2004 after serving
as a athletic training student. Long also holds membership with
the Great Lakes Athletic Trainer’s Association and the
Ohio Athletic Trainer’s Association while being an approved
Clinical Instructor. Pamela is certified in CPR/First Aid/AED
and EMT-Basic.
Pamela Long will assist with the treatment and rehabilitation
of KSU’s student-athletes while working directly with
the men’s and women’s track & field programs
Long and her husband, Danny, who is an assistant athletic trainer
for the Cleveland Browns, reside in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.
