Employment History
Kim has been at Kent State University since 1999 as the
Athletic Training Education Program Coordinator. Prior to
KSU, Kim worked at the Portage Lakes Career Center where she created
one of the first high school Sports Medicine programs in the state. She
also worked as an athletic trainer at Crystal Clinic’s Rehabilitation
and Health Center and Mount Union College.
Professional Involvement
Kimberly serves as the Chair
of the BOC Standards Committee and is the Ohio Athletic Trainers'
Association President. Further, Kim serves the NATA Research
and Education Foundation’s Research Committee as the sub-chair
for Student Awards and serves the CAATE Ethics Committee.
Research Interests Kim has published and presented
at the national, district and state levels in the field of athletic
training. Athletic Training Education research related to
professional ethics, student-centered learning and leadership are
Kim’s primary research areas. Clinical athletic training
related to bone health is another area of interest.
