Trent graduated from Ball State University with his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training in 1996.  He then attended Kent State University to complete his Master’s Degree in Sports Administration, which he completed in 1998.  Trent’s professional career began with an internship with USA Baseball in 1997 where he was the primary athletic trainer for the team, traveling throughout the United States as well as to Japan and Spain.  After completing his Master’s Degree, Trent worked for the Kansas City Royals Organization, for 4 years in the minor leagues.  Trent spent a season in Short Season, Ft. Myers, FL, a season in Single A, Charleston, WV, and 3 seasons in Double A, Wichita, Kansas.  The off seasons were spent working at an outpatient rehabilitation clinic, at a high school and at Bethel College in Newton, Kansas, covering fall and winter sports.  Trent came back to KSU in the fall of 2002 and primarily works with Men’s Basketball and assists with Football coverage.  He oversees the coverage of Wrestling and Baseball and assists with the daily responsibilities for all 14 varsity sports.  In addition to athletic coverage, Trent also has various administrative duties and teaches Athletic Training courses. Trent is married to the former Nicole Hinton and they have two beautiful daughters, Melina and Ava.
