Opening Weekend - ALL INSTRUMENTALISTS AND NEW COLORGUARD (no veteran colorguard or twirlers): July 25-27, 2008 (the KSUMGF will provide housing for members that need it)

 

Main Band Camp - All students unless otherwise specified:  August 14-23, 2008 (the KSUMGF will provide for housing/early move-in for members that need it) SCROLL DOWN TO FIND ARRIVAL DATES AND TIMES!

Thursday, August 14 , 2008 – STUDENT LEADERS & STUDENT STAFF

            1:00 PM to 4:00 PM – Meet in MSP Room E-112 and get started
            6:00 PM to 9:00 PM – Continue

(Will meet Fri. AM as needed to facilitate move-in and camp start-up)

Friday, August 15, 2008 – ADD ALL ROOKIE INSTRUMENTALISTS, PERCUSSIONISTS, FLAGS & TWIRLERS

            AM – Check-in Dorms
          
            11:00 AM to Noon- Stop by MSP E-112 – to pick-up Flashcard
            1:00 PM to 5:00- PM- Rehearsal, be prepared to go outside, begin in E-112
            6:30 PM to 9:00 PM- Indoor/outdoor rehearsal- begin  in E-112

(Vets: Check-In your dorms Friday afternoon. Stop by MSP afterwards to receive your Flashcard)

Saturday, August 16 , 2008 – ADD REMAINING VETS

            9:00AM to 11:45 AM – ALL Rehearsal! Begin in E-112
            1:00 PM to 5:00- PM- Rehearsal, be prepared to go outside, begin in E-112
            6:30 PM to 9:00 PM- Indoor/outdoor rehearsal- begin in E-112

Saturday through Friday, August 16 – 23, 2008

            9:00 AM to 11:45 AM – outdoor rehearsal- on practice field (indoors if weather dictates)
            1:00 PM to 2:00 PM – indoor/outdoor section rehearsal/testing as needed at the discretion of your Section Leader
            2:00 PM to 4:00 PM – indoor music rehearsal (aux. as per your captains/instructors)
            6:30 PM to 9:00 PM – outdoor rehearsal- on practice field (indoors if weather dictates)
            9:00 PM to ?-  Social gatherings/activities, TBA

SPECIAL NOTES REGARDING SCHEDULE:

1. Rehearsals on Thurs. & Fri. 8/21 & 22 will be announced, as many of you (especially Freshmen) have orientation meetings that conflict – Relax, we’ll get you where you need to be!

2. Friday Evening, 8/22 – We will possibly have a Dress Rehearsal at the Stadium from 8 to 11 PM!!!

3. Saturday 8/23 – There is possibly a performance for a student pep rally.  We will meet at MSP at 1:15, march to Manchester field at 1:30, perform at 1:45, and march back to MSP at 2.

Monday, August 25 –  3:20 PM, 1st  DAY OF REGULAR MWF REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
