Band Brochure
The Marching Golden Flashes rehearse during the football season on
Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3:20-5:15. The group is comprised of
woodwind, brass, and percussion instrumentalists, as well as a flag corps and
twirlers. A new show is performed at each home football game.
Other performances include one to three away games and a limited number of
exhibition performances at parades and high school band shows. All members of the marching band
receive a music scholarship stipend of $150 - $500 based upon seniority and
leadership within the ensemble. Band camp is held on campus
during the week before the beginning of fall semester. Placements
auditions are held for all instrumentalists at the beginning of camp.
New students should contact the band office for audition information.
Twirler and flag auditions are held prior to camp. Interested students
should contact the band office for application information.
