Mendelssohn Mania! – 200th Birthday Celebration

Happy birthday, to the “second most famous” child musical prodigy Felix Mendelssohn!

Join us for a musical celebration recognizing Felix’s 200th birthday. You will see his most famous chamber works mixed throughout the Faculty and Chamber Players’ Series. The climax will be a rousing performance of his chamber music masterpiece, his Octet for Strings, written when he was only sixteen.

There will be lots of “Mendelssohn” fun scheduled over the festival. A proper birthday party always has a birthday cake, door prizes, a Mendelssohn trivia contest, and a few surprises will enliven specially denoted Mendelssohn concerts.

Join us for a great time!
