The Career Services Center
provides a dynamic mix of online and on-campus recruiting services, which
offer both networking and employment opportunities to students
and alumni. As a national leader in
career center technology, the Career Services Center offers numerous resources
to help students and alumni to secure full-time and internship positions with
reputable local, regional and national employers.
Career Education
Services
Learning
more about career options and how to prepare for a career is
the focus of Career Education Services. Assistance is
available to students through a variety of resources, including career
counseling, a career
exploration course, and the Career
Research Library. The Career Education staff provides
numerous career
presentations on a wide range of topics, assists students
who are preparing to attend graduate
school, and works with Kent State alumni who
are seeking career assistance.
If you
are unsure about your major or career goal, you may want to
utilize Collage: A
Kent State to Career Portfolio, or SIGI
Plus, a computer-based career guidance program. Schedule
an appointment with a career counselor to discuss these options
in more detail.
Student Employment
Services
As the appointing authority for
the university's student employment program, the Career Services Center
believes in the benefits of practical experience. Work experiences help
students to support their education, affirm major and career choices, and
gain critical skills that improve their marketability for professional employment.
Academic
Testing Services
As a national testing
center, Academic Testing Services provides
students and prospective students with a variety of national and university
admission, assessment, placement, and certification tests.
