Numerous projects have been specifically tailored for research involving undergraduates.Undergraduate research has had a long and dynamic history in the Laali lab: So far 35 students have participated in individual investigation, honors thesis, and in summer projects. Out of our 160 peer-reviewed publications in international journals, 14 articles involved undergraduate student participants (see below for a full list). Undergraduate researchers from this laboratory entered some of the best graduate schools in the country (including Harvard; Ohio State ; Duke; Vanderbilt), became successful industrial research chemists, or completed their training as Medical doctors. We received two Undergraduate Summer Research Awards from the Division of Fluorine Chemistry of the ACS in 1996 and 2003. I will be pleased to talk to you about our current projects for Undergraduate Participation - - - - -
