Graduate Admissions :

Applicants to our graduate programs usually have a B.S. or B.A. degree with a major in Chemistry or Biochemistry. However, capable students with more diverse academic training are encouraged to apply. Typically, applicants have taken one year courses in Analytical, Organic, and Physical Chemistry along with Calculus and Physics.

In addition to the on-line application, all applicants are encouraged to fill out the following supplemental form:

Please email the supplemental form to chemgc@kent.edu and notify us that you are applying for the graduate program.

Applicants should also submit the following:

  • 3 letters of recommendation
  • Statement of purpose
  • Original academic transcripts
  • General GRE scores should be sent through ETC (subject GRE scores are helpful but not required).
  • TOEFL scores for applicants whose native language is not English should be sent through ETS.
