Awards and Scholarships :

Below is a partial listing of scholarships available to chemistry majors. In addition to these, about a dozen other awards and prizes are available to continuing chemistry majors.

To apply for these scholarships, fill out the application form, available as a PDF (60 k). Applications for the 2006–2007 academic year will be accepted until 15 February 2007.

Chemistry Honors Alumni Scholarship
Available to: Incoming Freshmen
Eligibility: Recipient is selected by the Honors College; chemistry major.
Annual Amount: $1,500
Number of Awards Available: 1
Renewable: Yes; must maintain a 3.0 GPA or better.

Leppo Family Medallion Founders Scholarship
Available to: Incoming Freshmen
Eligibility: Chemistry major; based on credentials submitted for admission to the University
Annual Amount: Full Tuition
Number of Awards Available: 1

Vinyl Scholarship in Chemistry
Available to: Incoming Freshmen
Eligibility: Chemistry major; based on credentials submitted for admission to the University
Annual Amount: $1,500
Number of Awards Available: 1
Renewable: Yes; must maintain a 3.2 GPA or better.

Knauss Chemistry Scholarship
Available to: Incoming Freshmen
Eligibility: Chemistry major; better than a 3.2 GPA
Annual Amount: $1,500
Number of Awards Available: 2
Renewable: Yes; must maintain a 3.2 GPA or better.

Lubrizol Scholarship
Available to: Juniors and Seniors
Eligibility: Chemistry major; 3.2 GPA or better
Annual Amount: $1,650
Number of Awards Available: 1
Renewable: No.
