ADVISING THE MAJOR OPTIONS

A bachelors degree at Kent State University consists of 121 hours of coursework which can be divided into three more-or-less equal parts: 1. Liberal Education Requirements (LER). 2. The International Relations Major (normally 39 hours). 3. Electives (121 hours minus major courses and LER). One of the most important decisions you will make in your undergraduate career will be how you spend the elective hours in your program. We believe you should consider these hours as "capital" to be invested in the wisest way possible. For International Relations majors who intend to make careers with international businesses we recommend the following:
