Dr. Michael C. Nwanze is a professor in the Department of Political Science, Howard University, Washington, D.C., specializing in International Law, International Relations and Comparative Politics. He holds a B.Sc. (Economics) Hons. of the University of London and a Ph.D. (Political Science) of the University of Leeds, England.

Professor Nwanze is currently the Director of the Undergraduate Program in the Department of Political Science and also directs the annual Seminars in Diplomacy, which simulate the proceedings of regional international organizations such as the Organization of African Unity, and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Before coming to Howard University, Professor Nwanze held teaching positions at the University of Exeter, England and the University of Windsor, Canada. While at Howard he has held adjunct positions at the Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies and Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C.  Dr. Nwanze has published articles in scholarly journals and is the editor of a recently published volume titled, Nigeria – Romania Diplomatic Relations.
