Downing Pownall Scholarship
The George A. Pownall and
Kathleen D. Downing Pownall Scholarship is the first endowed scholarship
program for Justice Studies. The Pownalls initiated the fund last year
with a $5,000 gift, and have pledged to bring it up to a $25,000 endowment
level over the next few years. But for the fund to grow to a point that
it can finance scholarships, help is needed from other donors. The
Department of Justice Studies and the Pownalls are urging others, especially
alumni of the program, to donate to this fund. The Pownall Scholarship needs to
grow to its endowed level so that the fund will then be able to help
future Justice Studies professionals earn a college degree.
