The Master of Arts degree
Program Information:
To earn a Master of Arts degree in Justice Studies, students must complete
a total of 33 semester hours, including five required courses, 12 hours of
electives, and six hours of research (thesis, or internship and research,
or research plus another 60000 level course). While specializations per
se are not defined, the selection of elective courses and internship
options are varied enough to allow for personal preferences. All students must complete a capstone
research experience to earn the degree.
Many of the courses are offered in the evening, which facilitates the education
of our working, adult students.

coordinator)
III. Plus a culminating research requirement (6 hours):
One of the following sets:
1. JUS 66199, Thesis I (6

JUS 66798, Research (2
hours)
or
3. JUS 66798, Research (3 hours) and
another 60000-level elective course (3
hours)
