International student organiazations

International students are encouraged to join a student organization or even form a new one. International Student Organizations are a good support structure that can help a student new to America deal with culture shock and provide a network of social friends. The International Organizations also provide a forum for students to celebrate their cultures, traditions and customs. These student organizations allow international students to share information about their homeland and provide a cross-cultural learning experience for the entire University community.

Current organizations include:

  • Arab Student Association.
  • Association of International Students in Education (AISE).
  • Chinese Student and Scholar Association.
  • Indian Students Association.
  • Kent African Student Association (KASA).
  • Kent Indian Students Association.
  • Korean Student Association at Kent State (KOSAK).
  • Korean Student Association in Kent.
  • National Association for multicultural Education (NAME).
  • Spanish and Latino Student Association (SALSA).
  • Taiwanese Student Association.
