Evaluation
As more information is available through the internet and other news resources it is important to be able to evaluate what is true and what is not. Here are some tips to be able to tell the difference between what is true or false.
Here are some questions to ask when evaluating an authority on a subject. (Some of these questions require knowledge of a subject.)
- Are they an author? Is there an author? Is the page signed?
- Is the author qualified? An expert?
- Who is the sponsor?
- Is the sponsor of the page repeatable? How reputable?
- Is there a link to information about the author or the sponsor?
- If the page includes neither signature not sponsor is there any other way to determine origin?
