The room includes twenty (20) workstations for students; and it is equipped with electronic projection equipment, a printer, and a scanner. The room facilitates instruction using electronic tools and research on the impact that various technologies have on writing and the instruction of writing.

As an electronic classroom, it is used primarily for instructional purposes. Currently, the room hosts sections of the professional writing courses Advanced Business Writing and Advanced Technical Writing. Schedule permitting, the TWRC offers open hours for general departmental use.
