Scholarships (Application Form - Misc. Information)

The Following list of items must be sent along with your filled out application form.

  • Statement of Application - It is suggested that the statement of application address how your qualifications meet the eligibility guidelines, particularly if you apply for scholarships designated for experiences such as internship or other specified activity. Use the following format:

    • 150 words or less
    • typed, word-processed, or computer generated
    • 8 1/2" x 11" white paper
    • 12 pt. regular font

  • Resume - A one page resume including all KSU activities, honors, awards, scholarships, community service or other distinctions is required. Do not include any high school activities. Resume must be typed, word-processed, or computer generated on 8 1/2"x11 white paper.

Microsoft Word has resume wizards that are pre-formatted. You may access this software in the FDM PC lab, 128 Rockwell Hall. If you need assistance developing your resume, there are many resources on the internet. One that may be useful is: http://www.monsterboard.com

  • KSU Official Transcript - A KSU offical transcript including Fall grades must be submitted with the scholarship application. Transcripts reflecting Fall grades are available from the Registrar's Office seven to ten working days after finals week. Allow seven working days for processing, except during peak times when processing may take longer.

There is no cost to obtain a transcript and you can submit the request before leaving campus Fall semester. Request that it be issued directly to you. Transcripts mailed to the School or otherwise received seperate from the application will not be accepted.

  • Supplementary Materials - In addition to the aforementioned materials, applicants for the Linda Allard Endowed Scholarship and the Shannon Rodgers Endowed Scholarship are required to submit a sample of their best original portfolio work. It is suggested that examples of concept, illustration, flats, and fabric swatches be included.

Please submit in any format you choose. Color photocopies of original work are acceptable.

All aspects of work must be completely original and created by the applicant including presentation, layout, illustrations, poses and flats.

  • Financial Aid Eligibility - Eligibility for scholarships requiring financial aid is determined by Federal Guidelines and the KSU Office of Financial Aid. Submit a copy of the notification of award letter you received from the KSU Office of Financial Aid as verification of need.
