Archival
Projects
When The Fashion School was formed in 1983, the benefactors, Shannon
Rodgers and Jerry Silverman had had a very successful Seventh Avenue
business and they had many friends in the industry.
It was their goal that
this school be an industry-based school where talents from Ohio
could be utilized to further the advancement of the fashion industry
that they loved.
So, many of their friends
became involved and The Fashion School became the recipient of many
archival items such as sketchbooks and photos and press kits from
numerous designers.
These archives span the
last half of the twentieth century and represent many segments of
the fashion industry. As time permits special projects are being
conducted to bring these archives to the public through the web
site.
