Section 1 – Drawing

  1. Print the following 3 Adobe Reader PDF files using 8 ½” x 14” (legal size) white paper.
    Drawing 1      Drawing 2      Drawing 3
  1. Follow the directions given on each page and draw the figure.
  2. Write your name on the REVERSE lower right corner as noted.
  3. Neatly fold the top edge to meet the bottom edge and crease lightly.
  4. Stack with your name showing. (Drawing is inside)

Section 2 – Machine Stitching Sample

  1. Click here to print or view the directions for completing the stitching sample.
  2. Cut a 3 ¾” x 3 ¾” piece of firm paper or light cardboard (ex. cereal box) and write your name in the lower right corner of one side.
  3. Insert in pouch so that name faces the back.

Section 3 – Statement of Intent

  Write a one page narrative responding to the following questions:

  1. Why have you chosen Fashion Design as a career?
  2. Who or what influenced you to choose this career?
  3. What is your goal after you complete your education?

  Statement of Intent Formatting: (must be type written)
        Center Title: Statement of Intent
        Times New Roman or similar font, size 12
        one page only, no more than 500 words
        write name on REVERSE lower right corner

Cover Sheet and Statement of Honor

  1. Print the following Cover Sheet/Statement of Honor on 8 ½” x 11” (standard size) paper:
  2. Complete the Cover Page
  3. Sign the Statement of Honor

Submission Instructions

PRESENTATION.  Use the checklist provided on the Statement of Honor to organize your submission. Enclose in an envelope large enough to fit standard size paper without folding. The exception is the legal size drawings will be folded in half from top to bottom. A 9” x 12” envelope works well.
