Research
Center for Educational Technology
The RCET is a center that operates within the College of
Education. RCET is a network of university researchers and
preK-16 educators desirous of studying the impact technology has
on teaching and learning. Much of the research takes place
in the Ameritech classroom, a technology-based classroom and
laboratory in Moulton Hall where K-12 students, teachers, faculty
and graduate students observe and research the impact technology
has on the K-12 students who are using the classroom. |

Teaching Council
There are four funding opportunities available through the UTC:
Travel and Learning Support, Teaching Development Support,
Workshop Award, and Summer Teaching Development Awards. Each
of these awards was established for the purpose of supporting and
encouraging outstanding teaching. |

Ohio
Learning Network
Ohio Learning Network is a clearinghouse of information on
technology in education that evolved from a consortium of Ohio
colleges and universities working together to expand access for
learning to Ohio citizens. To learn more about two grant

Board of Regents
The Ohio Board of Regents provides a variety of funding options
for faculty in higher education. The following is a list of
OBOR programs that support faculty professional development
initiatives.
Eisenhower
Professional Development Program
Proposals
due: May 24, 2001
This competitive OBOR grant program provides federal funds
to public and private colleges and universities and
nonprofit organizations to support sustained and intensive
high quality professional development for elementary and
secondary teachers of mathematics and science. Under the
Dwight D. Eisenhower Professional Development Program (and
its predecessors), the Ohio Board of Regents has awarded
over $25 million for projects designed to improve the
teaching of mathematics and science at the pre-college
level by linking our college and university faculty and
educational nonprofit organizations with elementary,
middle school and high school teachers.
Ohio
Eminent Scholars
A grant offered through OBOR designed to promote faculty
programs that are creating new knowledge at the cutting
edge of their particular discipline. Programs
eligible must be at the graduate level who can clearly
demonstrate a record of success in both direct and
indirect forms of scholarly work.

Campus Compact Partnerships in Action Grant
A Service Learning grant opportunity
offered through the Ohio
Campus Compact (OCC) that supports subsets of dialogue groups,
which minimally must include one campus stakeholder and one
community partner, as they work on projects during the academic
year that connect community engagement to teaching, research, or
professional service.
