Lieske
Biography
Dr. Lieske is an Assistant Professor of English on the Trumbull Campus.
At thepresent time, Dr. Lieske is teaching course in
undergraduate English as well as a Women's Studies Colloquium, and Women's
Literature. Through her
teaching, Dr. Lieske asks that her students strive to demonstrate general
understanding of major developments in the academy, as they relate to
women’s writing, and that students improve their critical thinking and
writing skills by their participation in classroom and on-line
discussions. Students are also challenged to improve their public speaking
and classroom leadership skills as they share the products of their formal
research, writing, and reasoning skills through the production of a formal
research papers.

Project
Dr. Lieske intends for her
students to demonstrate general understanding of the literary and social
history of eighteenth and nineteenth century British and American women
writers, as well as the major themes and genres employed by British and
American women writers during this period.
Dr. Lieske wants to devise new ways of using student response
papers or employing new pedagogical techniques that emphasize critical
thinking and writing. At the
same time, she intends to integrate more technology into her teaching and
to produce a web page that uses links to sites that can be used by her
students.
