The Mindfulness and Acceptance Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies has established a directory of clinical, research, and didactic training opportunities in mindfulness- or acceptance-based approaches. Our hope is that this directory will serve as a resource for students, recent graduates, faculty, clinicians, and researchers who are interested in this area.

Mindfulness is generally defined as moment-to-moment awareness without judgment (Kabat-Zinn, 1990). In a meta-analysis of clinical applications of mindfulness, Baer (2003) reports mindfulness is considered a useful intervention for depression, anxiety, Borderline Personality Disorder, binge eating, and substance abuse. Over the past 10 years, there has been marked interest in mindfulness, as demonstrated by the rise of listservs, journal publications, and professional presentations at conferences.

If you would like to have your site/program listed in this directory, please take a few minutes to answer the brief questionnaire below.  We plan to update the directory annually, after each SIG meeting.

Contact Seoka Salstrom, Ph.D. (ssalstrom@uwhealth.org ) with questions, comments or to delete or update an existing entry.

DISCLAIMER: The directory is considered public information, as it is posted on the internet as a pdf document.  Please keep this under consideration should you choose to be listed in the directory.
