The Department of Geography, in the College of Arts and Sciences, offers Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and Ph.D. degrees.  Our faculty and graduate students represent a diverse array of research fields in human and physical geography, and in Geographic Information Science. Dr. Jay Lee signs $60,000 contract to develop an urban crime simulator with the National Institute of Justice via the South Carolina Research Authority

Dr. David Kaplan receives new grant from the University of Akron Transportation Center for $19,981.

Dr. Mandy Munro-Stasiuk receives new grant from the National Science Foundation for $51,675 for to buy a Ground Penetrating Radar Environmental Imaging System.

PhD student Andrew Shears wins first prize for his talk entitled "Erasing Space: May 4, 1970 at Kent State University" at the 2007 East Lakes Conference at Michigan State University
