Dr. Acar holds a Ph.D. from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. He has been published in numbers academic journalis. His research focus is on strategic management and its interface with information science, corporate responsibility and operations management. He has developed a causal mapping method for the analysis of complex business situations called CSM (Comprehensive Situation Mapping) and coauthored a book on organizational learning entitled Scenario-Driven Planning published by Quorum Books. His method is now being used to co-develop a computerised GDSS (group decision-support system) for solving strategic problems.
