Dr. Egbert holds a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia. She currently teaches Health Communication, Organizational Communication, Training and Development, Nonverbal Communication, Theory, Quantitative Methods, Relational Communication. Her current research interests are uncertainty in the provision of social support by hospice volunteers, mood and social support quality and health talk in social networks.
