| Dr. Rubin holds
a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is
currently researching and teaching in the areas of interpersonal communication,
communication competence, and personal and mediated communication.
In addition to developing assessment instruments and editing measurement/professional
monographs, she has published 2 textbooks and over 50 book chapters
and journal articles. In 2000, she received the SCAO Distinquished
Teacher Award, a Graduate Student Senate Mentorship Award, and was
a finalist for the University Research Award.
