Thomas W. Brewer, Ph.D., is Associate Professor in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Kent State University and Research Fellow at the ISPV. Prior to coming to KSU, Tom was the Director of Research at the New York State Defenders Association and consulted for the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, Division of Statistical Services. His research interests include capital punishment, the use of social science in legal contexts, and the collection and use of large statistical databases. Dr. Brewer received the Ph.D. in criminal justice from The University at Albany, State University of New York.
