Jeff Kretschmar, Ph.D., is a Project Director at Kent State University’s Institute for the Study and Prevention of Violence.  Prior to arriving at the Institute, Jeff was an assistant professor of Psychology at Wesley College in Dover, Delaware.  Through grants from the Ohio Department of Youth Services and The Office of Criminal Justice Services, Jeff is presently conducting research on the effectiveness of several juvenile behavioral health programs in Ohio.  Current research interests include mental and behavioral health, aggression, substance use, and exposure to violence and victimization.  Dr. Kretschmar received his Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Miami University in 2003.
