Mitzi D. Kennedy serves as Associate Director for the Institute for the Study and Prevention of Violence. Dr. Kennedy received her Ph.D. in social research from the University of Denver. Prior to her appointment at ISPV, Mitzi has over 15 years of experience serving as an administrator in community based organizations providing evidenced based practice models and program evaluation projects on behalf of low-income children and families. Mitzi also played a primary role in the Colorado Works, TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) study conducted by the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work and Berkeley Policy Associates (BPA).
