Kent State University Foundation Inc.

Mission

To achieve the University's needs and priorities, the Kent State University Foundation Inc. provides leadership to raise private sector funds and exercises stewardship of assets.

What is the University Foundation?

Chartered in 1965, the Kent State University Foundation Inc. is a not-for-profit, tax exempt corporation governed by a Board of Directors. As the official gift-giving arm of the University, the foundation receives, manages, and disburses gifts and monies in support of the University's mission. The foundation is empowered to receive gifts and bequests and to carry out their provisions. Generally gifts to the foundation are tax deductible, and knowledgeable staff members are always ready to advise donors. Support for Kent State University through the foundation enables the University to reach levels of excellence unattainable through public funding alone. Gifts to the foundation provide scholarships for outstanding students, support faculty research and instruction, and enhance facilities and program development and improvement.
