Lorna joined the MCLS department in January 2001.

She is primarily responsible for assisting the department chair, oversees personnel transactions concerning full-time and part-time faculty, assists chair in generating annual reports, faculty publications lists, planning documents, etc., oversees departmental communications with undergraduate students (advising, major-minor requirements), assists departmental coordinators and serves as liaison with staff from other academic and non-academic units. She also coordinates departmental meetings and social events.

Prior to coming to Kent State, Lorna was the Coordinator of volunteers at Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens. She was responsible for recruiting and scheduling the docents for museum tours. She also attended Ohio State University, Agricultural Technical Institute studying Nursery Management and Landscape Design.

She enjoys spending time with her husband, horses, and gardening.
