Special Service for Students with disabilities
This is perhaps the most unique feature of our program. Our objective is to help persons with physical disabilities access the labor force, contribute to society and enrich their personal lives to the fullest extent possible. Toward this end, we are not merely offering a web based curriculum, but have an entire program to facilitate access to our program. This includes two prominent features:
(1) Full Compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, (as amended,1996;1998). This federal law specifies technical requirements to enable persons with disabilities to access web pages; and beyond that a unique
(2) Case Management to support each student with special needs.

Case Management in the Kent-MPA Web Program Provides:
(1) Certified Individual Needs Assessment of each applicant;
(2) Technological Service Plan - detailing the particular
configuration of computer based assistive technologies necessary to
allow the student to fully participate in our web based
environment. Click here to see examples of a few of these
technologies;
(3) Financial Aid to help cover the costs of such technologies, the
pre-testing of these technologies with the individual, and finally,
assistance with career advancement.
(4) In home Set Up and Pre-Testing of the configured
equipment;
(5) Technical Support and Reassessment to assure students with special
needs can interact effectively with the our online web program; and
(6) Career Placement Assistance in the public and nonprofit sectors.
