Silk broacde with metallic supplementary thread fabric de-assemble in its 1770s style and brought back to its 1750 silhouette by Jean L. Druesedow and Kristina Hill in 2005-2006.

Silk exterior quilted to a light blue linen interior with a layer of fine
wool batting in between. Worn as informal day wear.

Caraco Jacket (Short Bodice)
England, ca.1740s
Ivory silk brocade with floral and vine designs.
The bodice was worn as informal day wear and originallymight have been styled
as a robe à la française. Bodice and sleeves lined with natural linen. Possibly
used to clothe an altar figure. The once-unseen back is made of linen.

Silk brocade with floral design. Probably altered from a mid 18th century robe à la française and restyled as a robe à l'anglaise with pleats at center back stitched down at the waist. Worn as formal day or evening wear. Petticoat has digitally reproduced side sections in order to display the dress in draped style.
