Epirus: Zagori

This costume was worn in the 46 villages of the Zagori region in Epirus.   The flokata, the sleeveless overdress of the sigouni type, is the only traditional feature of the costume.  The other components have been influenced by the fashion prevailing at the end of the 19th century.

- flokata (sleeveless overdress) ornamented with red ribbons and cords
- embroidered apron
- printed head-kerchief, tied in the oura mantili manner
- ornamental belt buckles and chain
