Silhouettes of Style: Fashions from the Martha McCaskey Selhorst Collection
Higbee Gallery,
June 17, 1998 - June 4, 2000
Anne Bissonnette, Curator

A 360 degree panoramic view of an exhibition of costumes from the Martha McCaskey Selhorst collection identifies the remarkable evolution of women's fashion through seven decades. The viewer can witness how the hourglass figure shimmied into bugle beads and a stance of independence. A changing exhibition, 25 dresses representative of the 1860s to the 1930s, beaded purses, and accessories are on display.
