LOCATION
The Museum
is located in Kent, Ohio, on the campus of Kent State
University at
the corner of East Main Street (Route 59) and South Lincoln
Streets.

DIRECTIONS

From Canton,
Akron or Youngstown via Interstate 76:
At exit 33
(Route 43, Kent/Hartville exit), turn north onto Route
43. Proceed
to Route 59 in Kent. Turn right onto Route 59.
Merge right
onto Main Street and proceed to the traffic light at Lincoln
Street. Turn
right onto South Lincoln Street. Make the first
left onto Hilltop Drive and enter
Museum parking lot straight ahead.

West of Kent via Route 59:
Drive east
on Route 59 to Main Street in Kent. Merge right
onto Main
Street (which is still Route 59) and proceed to the traffic
light at Lincoln
Street. Turn right onto South Lincoln Street.
Make the first left onto
Hilltop Drive and enter Museum parking lot straight ahead.

Warren
and points East of Kent via Route 5:
Take Route
5 west into Portage County to Route 59. Drive west
on Route
59 through Ravenna into the city of Kent to the traffic
light at Lincoln
Street. Turn left on Lincoln Street. Make the first
left onto Hilltop Drive and enter Museum
parking lot straight ahead.

Cleveland
via Interstate 271:
Take Interstate
271 to Interstate 480 East (Exit 21). I-480 ends and becomes
Route 14 in Streetsboro.
Turn right (south) onto Route 43. Proceed south
on Route
43 for six miles to Route 59 in Kent. Turn left
onto Route 59. Merge right onto Main
Street and proceed to the traffic light at Lincoln Street.
Turn right onto South
Lincoln Street. Make the first left onto Hilltop
Drive and enter Museum parking lot
straight ahead.

PARKING
There
is designated free parking reserved for Museum visitors.
All guests must register their license plate number at
the visitor services desk upon arrival. Buses and motor
coaches are welcome and also have designated free parking.

ACCOMMODATIONS FOR PEOPLE WITH
DISABILITIES
The
Museum is wheelchair accessible. A ramp at the center
of the parking lot allows access to the Museum entrance.
All galleries and designated restrooms are wheelchair
accessible by elevator or interior ramp; a floor plan
is available at the visitor services desk. A wheelchair
is available for use in the Museum at no charge.

PHOTOGRAPHY GUIDELINES
The
Kent State University Museum has in its collection a number
of artifacts for which the artist retains copyright. Photography
of the collection, therefore, will not be allowed in the
galleries without express advance permission of the director.
Visitors given such permission will be asked to sign a
form stating that their photographs will be for personal
use only.

MURPHY
AUDITORIUM
The
Kent State University Museum's Murphy Auditorium is located
on the second floor of Rockwell Hall. The auditorium
seats 120 and can be reserved by contacting Ray
Bergdorf,
Head of Security, at

piano available.

LIBRARY
The Museum
Library is a non-circulating reference library that houses
books and periodicals on fashion and decorative arts.
Access is
available by appointment only. Please

The
June Mohler Fashion Library at the Shannon Rodgers
and Jerry Silverman School of
Fashion Design and Merchandising is open to the public
during the academic year. This circulating library is
located in Rockwell Hall South across the
atrium from
the Museum and
can be reached at (330) 672-9500 for hours of operation.

The Museum's collection policy permits loans of artifacts
or exhibitions only to other museums or to other non-profit
institutions that can provide a similar secure environment
as its own and strict environmental requirements described
