Imagine: The Collection as a Source of Inspiration
    
Since its founding fifteen years ago, the Kent State University Museum has been a source of inspiration for artists. Through research appointments or via the Internet, the Museum's 20,000 piece collection and its ever-changing exhibitions have attracted students and professionals in thefields of fashion design, theatrical costuming and interior design from around the world.
  
Access to collection and exhibition objects sparks the fuel of creative energy. Here are a few examples of design projects based on Museum originals.

The instructor of the Fashion Design class, Ms. Hanna Hall, assigned her students to design a garment for
the inauguration of the first woman President of the United States of America.
Without a doubt, that will be the party, and the garment, that will be remembered in the new millenium.
