The Lotus Flower

The Lotus is the most common flower depicted on this robe. It is a symbol of summer and fruitfulness. It is often so stylized that it can appear to look like a peony rather than a lotus. Every part of the lotus is used for either food, medicine, or the utilitarian use of drying the leaves and wrapping groceries in them.
