A Message from Dr. Josef Knott, Director of the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music
Welcome to the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music at Kent State University. We are indeed proud of the long tradition of musical excellence at Kent State and would like you to find out more about our School. If you are a prospective undergraduate student, we encourage you to look closely at our wide variety of baccalaureate degree programs. If you are considering graduate study, we invite you to examine our masters programs in such areas as performance, conducting, music education, composition, ethnomusicology, musicology, and theory, or our doctoral programs in music education, musicology-ethnomusicology, and theory-composition. For our graduates and other friends, we trust you will be pleased as you read about the scholarly and creative accomplishments of the faculty, and about the varied activities which are taking place in the School.
